The library continues to grow. We are getting new books every week. If you have LGBT books or books written by LGBT authors, please consider donating them to the Center’s library.
Kids Connect (pre-K-5th grade) is getting lots of online attention. We continue to encourage families with fluid gender children to come and participate with us. Check out our Facebook page www.facebook.com/KidsConnectCenterofWichita.
Get Connected (grades 6-12) continues to grow. We now average 15-20 youth each week. If you know of a teen who is LGBTQIA or just questioning, we encourage them to come join us.
Many folks have contacted The Center about volunteering. We are working to put together a schedule of when people can be at the Center so we can have open hours. If you are interested in this project, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those who may not know, we have an online directory of LGBT-owned and friendly businesses. Please visit our website to see this list. Click on the Directories tab. If you know of a business or organization that is LGBT-friendly and they are not on the list, please contact us with the information so we can add them.
The Center’s calendar is up and running. We encourage all LGBT organizations to post their events on the site so that there is one single place for out-of-town folks to see in one central place what’s going on in the city. If your organization did not get a login or you have lost your login, please contact us so we can get you setup to post to the calendar. l
